UVH Christmas Quiz (1st December 2023)
On what felt like the coldest night of winter thus far, forty-six attended the ‘Christmas Quiz’ at Utkinton Village Hall and a rumbunctious group they were too! Eight tables, mainly of six players, competed for the main prize – six bottles of assorted wines. Each Team had a name of one of Santa’s reindeers.
It was, in the main, a closely fought contest with a clear winner by a margin of 4.5 points and amassing 70 points was team ‘Cupid’ and an exciting ‘Tie Break’ contest for 2nd runner up and third places between Teams ‘Dasher’ and ‘Dancer.’

There was a Raffle – with a filled hamper being the first prize and numerous others all gratefully snaffled by their winners.

The tie Break question that separated 2nd and 3rd was: “How many gifts in total did My True love bring” across the Twelve Days of Christmas. After much toing and froing, the results were; Dasher said 858 whilst Dancer came very close with 362 – the answer is actually 364!
