Mark your calendars, everyone – Saturday 14th June is going to be absolutely brilliant! We’re thrilled to announce that the Big Community Festival is returning to the stunning grounds of Tirley Garth, and it’s going to be a proper celebration of everything we love about our local community.

A Beautiful Setting for a Special Day

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Lady Alexis and Sir Phil Redmond, we’ll once again be gathering at Tirley Garth (John Street, Willington CW6 0RQ) from 2:30pm to 7:30pm. What a magical backdrop for bringing our community together!

Music, Food, and Fun for Everyone

This year’s lineup is absolutely cracking! We’ve got returning favourites The Lost Boys kicking things off at 2:30, followed by the brilliant Ginger and the Ninjas at 3:30. The Light Wardens will take the stage at 4:30, and we’re excited to welcome newcomers The VB3s from Voice Box Music at 5:30. After the raffle prize announcements at 6:15, Ginger and the Ninjas will be back for an encore performance at 6:30.

Between all that fantastic live music, there’ll be plenty of delicious food and drink available, plus entertainment that’ll keep the whole family happy. And the best part? Entry is completely free!

Community Collaboration at Its Best

What makes this festival truly special is how it’s brought together by our local community organisations working hand in hand. The Women’s Institute, both Cotebrook and Utkinton Village Halls, St John and the Holy Cross Church, and the Parish Council Jubilee Working Party have all joined forces to make this happen. It’s a perfect example of what we can achieve when we work together!

Supporting Our Local Groups

Any funds raised on the day (after covering the bills, of course) will be shared equally between all the participating organisations to help them continue their brilliant work in our community. There are raffle tickets available now – just pop into either village hall or have a word with any parish councillor.

Important Reminders

As Tirley Garth is a private garden, we’re sorry to say that only assistance dogs can attend. We’d also ask everyone to be considerate by using the bins provided, taking all belongings home, and making your way home promptly when the event closes at 7:30. The donation buckets will still be out if you’d like to contribute on your way out!

If you fancy staying behind to help the organising team with the clear-up, that would be absolutely fantastic and much appreciated.

See You There!

This promises to be a wonderful day celebrating our fantastic community spirit. Whether you come for the music, the food, the company, or just to soak up the lovely atmosphere, we can’t wait to see you at Tirley Garth on Saturday 14th June.

Here’s to another brilliant Big Community Festival – see you from 2:30pm onwards!
